The Derby Veterans Community Center is available for booking a variety of special parties. Currently there are four package plans available:

Package # 2 Private Swim & Gym with table set up
• 1 hour swim
• 90 minute private gym
• Life guard on duty
• Recommend 1 adult for every 5 children

• Sundays Available - Add $25.00
"Moon Bounce' rental available September - May (add $90 to Package)
Other information:
• Add $15.00 for every additional hour
• Add $10.00 for every additional 1/2 hour
• Swim parties with over 20 children, 2nd lifeguard is needed for an additional $15.00
• Birthday parties available for children 13 years & under
• Parents/Adults are responsible for children in the facility
• Absolutely no food or drinks in pool area/No bathing suits in gym area
• Parties are responsible for cleaning up
• No Evening Parties

Zumba at the DVCC
The Derby parks & Recreation Department is offering a variety of ongoing six-week Zumba classes at the Derby Veterans Community Center. This is the schedule:
Saturdays: 8:30 - 9:30 am
Mondays: 5:45 - 6:45 pm
Wednesdays 7:30 - 8:30 pm
The cost for one class a week is $42 or two classes a week for $70. Registered uses can drop in on additional classes for $8. Non registered drop ins are welcome at $10 per session.
Participants are advised to wear sneakers and to bring water and a towel.
Private Swim Classes Now Available
The Derby Veteran's Community Center is now offering private swim lessons for children and adults. The lessons cost $20.00 per 30 minute session. Registration may be made by calling the Center at 735-4222.
The Derby Veterans Community Center was established as a permanent monument to Derby's veterans. It has been a cornerstone of Derby City Hall since its construction in the 1960's. The Center underwent a major renovation in 1999, including a complete remodeling of the Health Club and the installation of state-of-the-art equipment as well as a new whirlpool. In addition to the health club / exercise room, the Center includes a pool, sauna and gymnasium. It is open to the public for use on a daily basis, or yearly memberships may be purchased.
On July 1, 2000 the Center became part of the city's Parks & Recreation Department. The move allowed for increased staffing and programming while maintaining the Center as a permanent monument to Derby's veterans.
